The average house price in the UK jumped by £24,000 in the year to March, according to official figures.
Data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) revealed that the typical property value in March 2022 was £278,000.

This three-bedroom semi-detached house on Welch Road is currently up for £50,000,
although it needs some serious elbow grease to bring it up to standard.

The previous owner has also left numerous belongings behind including a vintage piano with candlestick holders, a hoover, numerous mattresses and a ripped floral sofa.
The Rightmove listing admits the house requires “complete modernisation” but says it’s located “near to local shopping and travelling facilities” including Gallagher retail park, which is a 15 minute walk away.
